Rain
Well, another wet day! There were sunny spells but nothing major and it certainly wasn't dry enough to do much or even mow the lawn. Picked four more courgettes and a lettuce. Could do with a little more sun to get the tomato plants growing and help the aubergines. Hope it's dry tomorrow to allow me to mow the lawn!
Podded Peas
A close up of podded peas from the garden! They were gorgeous and really sweet. There may be enough left on the plant for another meal!

Tagged!
I've been tagged! EssHaych tagged me on her brilliant crochet blog the other day, so here goes...
1. Where did you grow up? Did you like it there?
I grew up in Suffolk, East Anglia, in a town called Mildenhall. I did like it there and most of my family remain in that area but now I live in Conwy, North Wales. You couldn't get two places more different really with Suffolk being quite flat and North Wales very mountainous and near the sea!
2. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I would love to travel to the Galápagos Islands and see the unique wildlife there. I have always had an interest in biology and nature.
3. What was the first thing you crocheted?
This little pig for my Mum!
4. What are your top 3 favourite TV programmes of all time?
Ah that's a difficult question! I loved Top of the Pops, and Absolutely Fabulous, and Will & Grace. I have enjoyed more recently Medium, Nurse Jackie and Heroes!
5. Were you a good student at school?
Of course! I think I was an excellent student at school! I used to enjoy learning and still do. I remember doing my home work almost as soon as it was given - I think I was a bit of a swot!
6. What are you most proud of?
I am proud of my family and what I have achieved in my work and I am proud of all my knitted and crocheted creations!
7. What skill would you like that you haven't got already?
I used to play the piano but haven't done for many years now and would love to take that up again.
8. Would you ever give blood?
Yes!
Now for me to tag some people!

Acer
Close up of some of the leaves of the acer in the border.
It is hard to believe that when this arrived in the post about four years ago I thought it would never survive as it was a very dry and dead looking twig! We were on holiday and had no idea how long it had been waiting in the box. I remember I ordered it through an offer in Gardeners World magazine and only paid for the postage!

Potatoes
Pulled up the last of my early potatoes this morning. I have grown four bags of potatoes this year: earlies, middles, and two lates! I think they have all done well but they did suffer in the high winds a month or so ago. Will maybe have these in the week with salad!
Pea Pods
Picked these this morning. There were plenty more but I tried to pick the fattest pods thinking that the other ones will get bigger with time. Not sure if this is the case. Hope to eat them later with a roast dinner.

Peas
The peas have done well and could be harvested tomorrow for a roast dinner. They might just provide enough for three! Hope so anyway.
Aubergines
Here are two aubergine plants which appear to be doing quite well. I've put a green water sphere in with them which has not been needed really as it has been so wet!
Vegetable Patch
This is the vegetable patch today. You can see here carrots, radishes, garlic, onions, lettuce and brussels sprouts. You probably can't see the fennel sprouting up inbetween the two rows of lettuce which are coming on very slowly.
I have scattered another load of slug pellets around as the slugs are again numerous in the wet weather we have had recently. Bring back the sun!
Vegetable Patch
This was the veg patch about 6 weeks ago. I'll post later what it looks like today after almost two weeks of wet weather!
